IF WISHES WERE HORSES : VAN GAAL WOULD BE IN SPURS!

It looks like the task accorded to the new Manchester United’s manager Louis van Gaal  is slowly pulling down his work and tactics of managing the team and now wishes he would have taken a different deal.

The new  Reds’ boss confirms he could have taken the easy option and  a simpler way out by  jumping and clinging onto the  same salary at Spurs. He further cited that he knew the task that  a waited him at Old Trafford and insists he has no regrets about becoming Manchester United boss. But however from the look of things is seem like he speaks just to show how confident he is in the outside while in the inside lays  fear and doubt in himself….asking himself ” will i perform to the expectation?

This is after Van Gaal admitted he could have taken a cushier job at Tottenham, and accept the same pay that they  were prepared to pay him : unfortunately its the same pay that  United are offered him and says he could not resist the challenge to take on the duty of managing the biggest and giant club in England.

The Dutchman further went ahead to state that  he is relishing trying to restore the club’s fortunes. “No, I don’t regret taking this job,” he said. “Yes, it is a massive job I have taken on at Manchester United. “I realize that.

Van Gaal, 63, was speaking after receiving a lifetime achievement award at the Netherlands Footballer of the Year gala on Monday night and is now enjoying a short break before the Premier League resumes.
Van Gaal further stated that the club and the team players give him all the energy that he need to see the club to where it should be.

Van Gaal, who has also previously managed Ajax, Bayern Munich and Barcelona, expects United to be his last big club and his goal is to deliver their 21st league title.

The Big Boss is however optimistic that the moment of reckoning for the other teams is coming and the smiling and shining period for Manchester United and its fans will be big time. All Eyes on Van Gaal the Redeemer.

ENGLISH PREMIER LEGUE :”BATTLE FOR THE BEST AND ONLY THAT.”

The transfer of Danny Welbeck one of the greatest and talented players from Manchester United to Arsenal has seen may people react in different ways.

Former United midfielder David  Beckham has also reacted to the leaving of one of the greatest players of Manchester united saying that, it was sad to watch him leave considering the fact that he has been in the Manchester Academy since he was 8years old citing that his “heart was in Manchester.”

However for most of the Arsenal fans its a relief as they have got a great back up of players and after the signings that have taken place in the club with the leadership of the manager Arsene Wenger they squad is confident that the results that are going to come with the team are positive.

Competition  for places is the order of the day as the Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal, has not also relented on recruiting. The Dutchman brought in Colombia striker Radamel Falcao from Monaco in a £6m loan deal on Monday, while Argentina winger Angel Di Maria was signed for a British-record £59.7m from Real Madrid last month.

Di Maria is wearing the number seven shirt this season, previously worn by Beckham, who played for United between 1992 and 2003.

The eyes are now on these two clubs that are seen to have a great and stiff competition not only for the best players but also for the top game and position on the table of the ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE….Striker Welbeck, who came through the Old Trafford youth system, joined the Gunners for £16m on transfer.

All action will be determined in the next game where the Gunners will take on their rivals Manchester City, with the redemptor striker Danny Welbeck combining his efforts with support from Theo Walcott  in the action.

THE KENYA BASKETBALL PREMIER LEAGUE ACTION.

The weekend action of the Kenya premier league action went down as usual over the weekend.

However it was not glory as usual for some of the teams as they were on the loosing end of the game with great disappointment not only to the players but also the fans who did not expect that to happen.

On Saturday afternoon at the Nyayo Gymnesium the Nairobi Thunders went head to head with their opponents Nairobi Aviation in a game that saw the teams efforts brought down. It was rather seen as a one side weak affair as the Thunders stroke their opponents to dominate the first and the second quarters of the play. The Aviatians were seen to loose their touch as the game proceeded as they missed lay up opportunities that would have made them save much of their points.

ACTION AT THE NYAYO GYMNESIUM

The game rather intensified and the tables turned after the half break of the game as Nairobi Aviation came back into the game with their heads held up high and their minds all set in the game, despite the effort of the Thunders to penetrate the defence with their best players like Cliff Allela the game was tight with the most of the turn-overs been created .

This however led to the loss of the team focus and gave Nairobi Aviation an opportunity to beat them down without relenting though a close range game the Thunders were stricken down by one basket a game that ended 63-61 in favor of Nairobi Aviation.

Thunder however missed the services of their key player and guard Griffin who is in Mombasa for the zone 5 action that kicks off today.

The Sunday action……..

ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE: “WILL TABLES TURN ANYTIME SOON?”

THE ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE QUO.

With the start and kick off of the English Premier League on Saturday 16th of the action has left many of the fans in a dark corner while most of the teams are seen to outshine the giant ones.

Manchester United being one of the favorites kicked their 2014/2015 season on a lower note after they lost 2-1 to Swansea City on Saturday. The Louis van Gaal led side disappointed the home fans after being bitten on home soil a clear indication that they might have began the league on a very low note compared to their other seasons that they always begin with a bang!

Well they might have done their best but perhaps Van Gaal has to input more effort to see to it that his players don’t disappoint the fans both at home and away and more so those in other countries who t5ake time to watch the game via the “TV Branch.”

However on the other end the despite the slipping of the giants other teams began their season on a rather very high note, beating their opponents to secure top places on the table with both the Wenger driven side and Murinho led sides beat their opponents without any mercy to kick off their seasons in style.

This leaves the fans optimistic that they are really up to a great season but a question is will there come a point in the course of the season where the tables will turn for some of the teams?

This question rather remains unanswered and all that is left is for the teams to prove to their fans what they have for them in store this season.

CATCH MORE OF THESE AND MORE FOOTBALL ACTION AS THE SEASON PROPELS.

“LUCKY STARS ” : THEY MAY HAVE FALLEN BUT ARE THEY READY TO GET UP?

The Kenyan boys are all the reason to smile as the East Africa Breweries Limited (EABL) are still interested in sponsoring national team Harambee Stars despite having failed to proceed to Group stages of African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Stars were edged out in pre-qualifier stage by Lesotho, who won their two-legged match 1-0 aggregate.

TIMOOOO

Football Kenya Federation has been negotiating a Sh250million deal with the beer company that would have seen Stars play at 2015 African Cup of Nations finals in Morocco.

According to an official, who is involved in negotiations, the interest is still there from EABL though not the urgency.

Its seem that there are people who despite the mistakes that the Kenyan team is caught up in have the interest of the team at heart and not only the team but the nation at large,it is a sport that is loved by many and its failure will crumble the cookie of the sport among the Kenyan fans.

HARA

However as much as the interested party is willing to sponsor the team the management should ensure that they have the right people involved in the organization and building of the team at all cost.

Well as it is said it doesn’t matter how many times you fall ,but rather how many times you fall and you are able to get back on your feet again. This applies to the National team Harambee Stars and the big question is how prepared are they to get back on their feet again and play their hearts out?
